today is november 17,2007 and i feel kinda embarrassed wearing winter clother when its not winter yet (my headmistress pointed that out) but damn! its so cold for me

remeber ko nlng gni ang summer sa pinas..i did totally hate the monotony and sameness of summer there..its…boring..

but living in a country of four seasons makes me wish i were back sa pinas…glorying in the beauty of the hot sun, letting the sweat sluice down my back, uplifting my face to the hot rays of the sun… it would be great…

here i resemble most likely a penguin with 4/5 clothes plus a winter trench coat.. i got gloves on, a scarf, and thick socks.. you cant even wear sandals here..what a sad life…ah.

ah summer…. i do wish you’re here… i wanna be enfolded in your arms and kissed by your warm lips..now that my lips are cracked and blue… i miss you too terribly..

China is an asian country like ours.   but when you experience their culture first-hand, you’d definitely feel many interesting fresh perspectives about how different china is from philippines and you’d realize how Western we arein ways, tastes , and lifestyle. CHINA IS ASIA. let me tell you some observations i had for the past two weeks here.

1. they sell whole sugarcane plants(minus the leaves) in the fruit stand. 
2. a lot of people wear stockings (quite thick ones).
3. to use the handkerchief is considered dirty. so the tissue industry is  boom.
4. you wearing slippers and flip-flops would make them think you are SOOOOO poor that you cant afford to buy shoes.
5. this  is BOOTS country. it is glam to wear boots here.a wide array of luscious boots are in every corner of the city. i bought one for 50 yuan.
6. you can find really good bargains here.i purchased really quality sneakers for only 10 yuan (P70 baby)
7. upon  knowing you are a FOREIGNER,they would stare at you unabashedly and talk and point at you. (dumb)
8. if you’ve heard of cable cars,we got cable buses here. cable buses run on electricity so it emits no smoke nor sound.
9. cable TV’s got no English channels, not even DISNEY which is based in Hongkong!
10. you can find international products like those of del monte, dole, mc cormick,budweiser, heineken. (so that makes me relieved )
11. i saw some really fat,lazy, ripe-for-eating  bullfrogs swimming in large tanks in  the supermarket. snakes, frogs, animal tongues,pig brains are offered in restaurants.
12. bananas are expensive,grapes are not. (yumyum!!!)
13. string beans are sold here! so as coconut,ube-flavored shake, mango and some stuff truly filipino! but its RARE to find it.
14. people spit anywhere.yes, ANYWHERE. thats the most disgusting aspect of their culture.
15. and…. what else…(jv thinks) hmmm…oh yeah , babies nad tots wear pants with slits in the backs in order for them to poo anywhere! ugghhh…i saw one boy running towards his granny and i can see his white bare ass! what a sight!
